H i p R e v i s i o n At its most simple description a hip revision is the removal of a previously implanted hip and implantation of a new hip prosthesis. The reasons for a hip revision may include mal-alignment of the original hip implant, loosening of the original implant, or when the implant causes pain on moving. Depending of what type of original implant will be removed this procedure is not as easy as the first implantation and requires a specialist orthopedic surgeon.
